Raiche Mederick

As an infant, Raiche was involved in a house fire which left her  fighting for life and with 70 per cent burns. These days, she devotes her time to helping other young burns survivors, and towards raising money for ‘Burned Children’s Club’ charity.

In the summer, she was presented with a News of the World ‘Children’s Champion’ Award for her bravery and inspiring attitude, and has attended a televised gala event and reception at No. 10 Downing Street.

More recently, she was one of only ten women across the country to receive a prestigious accolade from women’s magazine Best, which named her one of the UK’s Bravest Women of 2010 in November.
