Our main campus is on the eastern boundary of the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham in Rush Green. It is a 20 minute walk or a 10 minute bus ride from Romford town centre.

Getting to the College
By overland rail to Romford Station
Trains run roughly every 10 minutes from Liverpool Street Station (calling at Stratford, Maryland, Forest Gate, Manor Park, Ilford, Seven Kings, Goodmayes and Chadwell Heath) to Romford. The station is also served by trains heading into London from Southend, Shenfield, Brentwood and Upminster. Take a bus or taxi from the station
By bus from Romford Station
Bus number 174 stops directly outside the College. You can catch the 174 across the road from Romford Station at Bus Stop ‘T’
Please note only the 174 bus stops directly outside the college. Bus numbers 5, 103, 128 and 175 stop near the Petrol Station at the junction of Dagenham Road and Rush Green Road. The college is a short walk away down Dagenham Road.
By taxi from Romford Station
Black Cabs and Mini Cabs can be picked up outside Romford Station. There is a Black Cab rank opposite the station and a Mini Cab office to the right of the station exit.
By tube and bus
You can get to us by tube and bus on these routes:
- District Line to Dagenham East and then a 103 bus.
- District Line to Dagenham Heathway and then a 174 or 175 bus.
- Central Line to Stratford and then Romford BR and then a 174 bus.
Car Parking
The College has lots of parking for visitors. If you’re a learner here, and wish to park regularly at the College, you’ll need to register your car when you enrol. Please note though that being enrolled does not guarantee you a parking place. If you have a disability or mobility problem we have parking places near to all buildings that can be reserved for you.

The Technical Skills Academy has been commissioned by the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham and will be managed and run by Barking & Dagenham College.
The Academy Offers the highest quality education and training in a real-work environment for young people age up to 19.

We work in partnership with The London Borough of Barking & Dagenham, and many of our courses are matched to job opportunities locally. Courses start from Entry Level (Beginner) and include: English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL), Adult Maths, English, IT, Health and Social Care, Business Studies and Teaching Assistant. The BLC also has a Central Library, Café and a One-Stop Shop for support and advice.

Our brand new London Road facility, which opened in September 2010, runs courses in Motorsport & Automotive Engineering Technology. For information about courses at London Road please call our main Learner Help Centre at our Rush Green campus on 020 8090 3020. Please also call this main number if you are reporting non-attendance on a course which is held at London Road.
