What qualifications do I need?
Electrical Installation C&G-2330 Lv2 (or the old C&G-2360 Part1). Please note due to funding changes this qualification is funded for 16-18 year olds but for 19+ adults this is a full cost recovery programme so no funding or fee remission is available.
What will I learn?
Theorectical content includes: electromagnetism, motors & alternators, AC theory, luminaires & lamps, cable sizing & testing, and BS7671.
All our courses are designed to cover the full range of topics and tasks as laid down by the awarding body in response to industry requirements. All practical activities are carried out within our state of the art workshops with theory work being a mix of classroom and assignment activities. The topics include:
Science of electrical engineering and provides an in depth knowledge of the wiring regulations (BS7671:June 2001).
The science topics cover electromagnetism and electric motors, alternators and other devices.
Illumination and types of lighting, AC theory, Cable sizing and Testing.
Regulations are thoroughly investigated and circuit parameters are produced from IEE tables.
How will I be taught?
A combination of theory and practical units, including: Fault Finding and Testing & Commissioning.
How will I be assessed?
One On-Line Test (Safety, Science and Regulations), together with 2 practical tasks and reports/assignments.

C&G 2381(16th Ed), 2391(Inspection & Testing) and 2356(NVQ3 – practical competency)
