The Web Content Workshop

Free e-learning resources

Welcome to the Content Workshop funded by the ICT Test Bed project. All resources have been created through teacher and e-learning developer collaboration. Feel free to browse these materials via the tabs above. All resources are free to use subject to the terms and conditions.

The Content Workshop Approach

By focusing on creating localised rather than generic content we create electronic teaching resources which exactly meet the teachers’ requirements. We rely on teacher evaluation to confirm that the materials have been effective in the classroom as you can see from the following feedback on our example resources.

1. Word Spell Template

"Enough flexibility to make it valuable but simple enough and quick enough to create what you need in minimal time." Andrew Fisher, Esol tutor at Barking college. This resource is suitable for all key stages. For more information please access the templates page.

2. Drag and Drop Template: Specialist Vocabulary

"We have started a pilot scheme where we are using the special vocabulary with all departments on the school intranet. Staff have been very impressed with the work that the Content Workshop produces as aids to whole school literacy." Mike Todd, Literacy Co-ordinator at Warren Comprehensive. This resource is suitable for key stage 2 and above. For more information please access the templates page.

3. Phonics

"We have uploaded this resource to our school internet site and have encouraged both pupils and parents to use it" Paul Jordan, Deputy Headmaster at Ripple Infants school.
