How do apprenticeships benefit employers?

Apprenticeships help businesses to develop a well qualified and motivated workforce. Here at Barking & Dagenham College we train over 600 apprentices every year, so we know first-hand the benefits they can offer to businesses large and small.

What do our clients say?

A typical apprenticeship programme is a combination of ‘on-the-job’ training, together with college work, which is tailored so it’s right for the employer and the apprentice.

If you are looking for a position as an apprenticeship and need help finding one, the National Apprenticeship Service offer a vacancy matching programme. Just go to www.apprenticeships.org.uk to find out more.

Maria & Lisa

As well as training apprentices for other organisations, we also have several of our own at the College. Here we meet two of them - Maria, on the left, has her sights set on becoming an accountant and is an apprentice in the College’s Finance Department, whilst Lisa is working in our Business Innovation & Enterprise team.
