Social Security Benefits
Few students are eligible to study full-time on benefits but there are exceptions such as a single parent with dependant under the age of 16 who are entitled to study fulltime. For information about studying as a Job seeker, please see the College Adviser / Counsellor.
Housing Benefit
If you are under 19 and in full-time further education, you are entitled to Housing benefit up until your 19th birthday for the period you live away from your family.
Child Benefit & Child Tax Credit
If you are under 20 and in full-time further education, your parent/guardian is entitled to Child benefit & CTC.
