These courses are ideal if you missed out during your school years, didn’t get the grades you hoped for, or your skills are just a little rusty. Our trained staff will give one-to-one support when you need it most. Literacy - Step up to English These courses are ideal for anyone wishing to improve their English and communication skills before going on to further study or into a job. There are no formal entry requirements, only commitment and enthusiasm. Classes are two and a half hour sessions in the morning, afternoon or evening. Courses are usually one year long, but there is a special fast-track option for learners to complete the course within one term. We will let you know if this option is suitable for you during your interview and assessment. At the end of the course successful learners will gain the Edexcel qualification in Adult Literacy. Numeracy - Step up to Maths These courses are ideal for anyone wishing to improve their maths and number skills before going on to further study or into a job. There are no formal entry requirements, just bring your commitment and enthusiasm. Classes are two and a half hour sessions in the morning, afternoon or evening.
