Careers Guidance

  • College awarded prestigious Matrix Quality Standard for Information, Advice and Guidance Services. This award is approved by the Guidance Accreditation Board.
  • Active programme of visits by local employers and universities

Careers Co-ordinator

The Careers Co-ordinator offers individual appointments at any time before, during or after your studies. You will receive confidential and impartial advice about courses available, employment and training after your course, Higher Education and Careers Advice.

Connexions Service

The Connexions Service offers help and support for young people and their plans for the future. Located in the main foyer, they also offer a vacancy and placing service for some students. Connexions can be contacted on 01708 753377.

Aim Higher Adviser

Offers help, advice and information to students regarding university courses. This includes help with applications, research, student finance etc. Appointments can be booked in the Connexions Room located in the college main foyer.

Barking Education Advice Shop

"Drop - in" to the Barking Education Advice Shop in Vicarage Fields Shopping Centre, near Barking Railway Station. Friendly staff will be happy to help you. Barking and Dagenham College and the University of East London jointly run this Advice Centre. It has recently been awarded the prestigious Matrix Quality Standard for Information, Advice and Guidance. The Guidance Accreditation Board approves this award. The unit is provided through the generosity of the Shopping Centre's Management.
